junko enoshima non scale figure by algernon product
No Dangan ronpa collection is complete without Junko and Monokuma!
I waited until she was 60% off before finally buying her, and i'm glad i did - she's gorgeous! Junko is non-scale and stands at around 28 cm tall; the largest figure i currently own! I think the sculptor did very well to capture her likeness. As per the art style, she's roughly 50% leg, which looks pretty striking in 3D. Overall she's very well made and painted. The only flaw is a large crack at the base of one of her pigtails which is kind of distracting if you look too closely. Other than that, she's great. |
kyoko kirigiri 1/8 scale figure by phat! company
She was finally released after many delays!
This figure is really, really lovely. There are a few issues with pegs and some questionable shading but besides that she's pretty much perfect. Her main issue is that the peg keeping her attached to the table doesn't fit so she's just kinda balancing awkwardly. There's a peg in her foot which keeps her stable on the base though. I love how much effort Phat! have put into this. Things like her mobile phone, cup noodles and the little grooves on the base which make it look like wooden flooring. |
makoto naegi 1/8 scale figure by algernon product
Naegi arrived at the same time as Kirigiri!
He has a few other parts: a head with his hood up, a hand down by his side and another clenched fist. The promo shots only show two combinations: hood down + pointing hand + hand by his side and hood up + both clenched fists. I prefer it when he has a combination of both. It's a pretty simple figure done well. There aren't any flaws or moulding issues i can see. |

These figures are so tiny!
For being so small (about the same size as the charms above) they're quite detailed and decently painted. The little red bases they're standing on have a kind of fuzzy felt type material on them too, which is definitely a lot more interesting than painted plastic. It's a matter of opinion, but i like the faces on these figures the most out of all of them. Something about the stylized swirly eyes. I also love how - if you get the whole set - they can join up to form the courtroom with Monokuma in the middle. That idea is just really cool. |
