Master creatures
Yojimbo & DaigoroI should get it out right now: i love monsters, especially summons. There's something very cool about being able to summon your own army of otherworldly things to do your bidding.
So it's no surprise, with my love of monsters and turn based games combined, that i would fall pretty hard for FFX! Even though most of the characters were over designed, i feel that the designers got the monsters - especially the summons - juuuust right. Take good old Yojimbo here. He's extremely embellished but it works. I love his design in every way, from his long flowing hair to his raggedy, billowing clothes ...and all the swirling details in between. He's like some walking Hokusai painting. So, when i found out a figure of him existed i tracked him down and bought him. He's actually my first high quality figure, but not my first FFX one: before i even knew anything about FFX i bought a Yuna figure on holiday when i was 12 which i eventually lost parts off and then threw away. She was pretty badly sculpted but i wish i'd taken better care of her. After 7 years and playing FFX, i finally got myself another FF figure, and he's amazing! Definitely worth the money. I remember getting the post and cradling him in my arms like a baby =3 |

The Magus sisters
It's Cindy, Sandy and Mindy, the game breakers of FFX!
These girls were amazing in the game - so easy and fun to get - and absolute power houses VS dark aeons, monster creations and normal enemies alike.
Actually this ended up being why i like Yuna so much. She became so overpowered because of them and also because i never got Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri or Tidus' ultimate weapons (don't understand blitzball, can't dodge that much lightning, god damn red butterflies, NEVER DOING THE CHOCOBO RACES AGAIN! >_<).
Anyway, where was i? Oh yeah. So, Magus sisters - awesome girls, hideous to fight as dark aeons and passado is delightfully broken. I love them so much...and when i found out there was a figure made, well, i searched high and low for it!
Originally i found one on amazon.com for the very decent price of £7 in 2010...but the store didn't do international shipping so i was stuck. I searched all over ebay and amazon but the only ones i found either had £45+ bin or were heading that way via bidwar. There was no way i could ever pay that much, so i virtually gave up searching.
Fast forward almost three years.
I went to meet my sister for my birthday and there was time to kill, so i ventured into a game shop that had just opened. Low and behold, what do i see among a huge pile of unsorted figures? Not one but TWO magus sisters figures!
I ended up talking to the guy who owned the store and he said that the price had risen because most of the figures ended up broken due to the way they were packaged. As such, he gave me a discount! It cost me £10 in the end to buy a magus sisters figure, and i just ended up supergluing their wings and antennae back on.

Shiva
Shiva! She's my favourite ever summon so i was amazed when i managed to find this. She was pretty expensive to be honest, especially since she's pretty small. This is also why i haven't removed her from her packaging yet (and i may never at all...we'll see). By some incredible stroke of luck i managed to get my hands on the Dark aeon variant too, so expect pictures in the next month or so.
